A taste of America

Last Friday night we treated ourselves to a family dinner at Mickie D's.  We were told by some other expats that it was quite an accomplishment to have made it over a week in our first week here as a family before visiting the Golden Arches.  So to celebrate our endurance, we went!  :)

This fine dining establishment is a ten minute walk from where we live in a very Western-style mall area. On our excursion we also discovered a Dairy Queen and a Carrefour store (like a small Wal-mart).  And of course we had to take a picture of this pink monstrosity which Katie adored:
