Every week we try to spend focused time together as a family. In this crazy city life we live, we've found it essential to our sanity to have some scheduled "nothing on the schedule" nights. Sometimes this looks like just playing outside at our complex, other nights it looks like watching Cars as a family or playing Candyland (Caroline's current love).
Sometimes though, failed date nights can turn into amazing family nights, thanks to my husband's brilliance. Adam had planned to take me to a popular local spot to which I had never been. So when the babysitter called in sick, he said, "Let's just all go!" I'm so glad he said that and so glad we went, because it turned into one of the best nights ever. Videos to come.
